Launched in the Summer of 2018 by the AHOGA Committee, the Baird Award is a new grant to help towards costs associated with continued learning, work experience/career development (skills enhancement) or to benefit a community project/charity that an Old Girl has been actively involved in for at least 6 months.
The Baird Award offers an opportunity for Old Girls to increase their knowledge and experience through professional development or to take part in charitable activities in order to benefit others.
The grant will award up to a maximum of £250 per application per year.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a report of how the award was used and an account/interview for the Abbot’s Hill Chronicle magazine.
Applications will open on 1 August 2018 and close on 1 October. Successful applicants will be notified no later than 1 December 2018. If there are no successful applications, a ‘late’ round will be available for submissions in the last week of the following February (with grant to be used the same year). These successful applicants will be notified by 1 May 2019.
